HH: Your hair has become such a signature part of your look—what’s your secret to keeping it healthy and stage-ready?
Gabby Samone: I am such a huge healthy hair advocate! These past few years I’ve neglected my hair a little because natural black hair is a TASK — but I am definitely back on it, with the help of natural hair specialist and color specialist and all just around hair guru, Shy Watters, right here from Baltimore.
I used to love doing my hair on my own, but it is so time consuming and Shy helps me prepare for shows and just everyday life. She gets my hair together! Treatments/ trims/ natural hairstyles, protective hair style, and everything in between.
HH: When it comes to beauty and self-care, what are the must-have products or rituals that keep you feeling confident?

Gabby Samone: You need a skin care routine and I am just starting to dive deep into that! I look at the ingredients and reviews in certain products. But it’s really what ever works for your skin. I love e.l.f. products, I use them very often. It’s in my skin care routine and make up routine. But for me, self-care isn’t just about products, it’s also about taking time — even when we’re on the road or busy in the studio — to slow down and be with the people I love.
HH: How would you describe the way your personal style and beauty choices influence your artistry?
Gabby Samone: I am a very chill person — I love sweat pants and baggy jeans with a crop top. But as I get older and the more I come into my femininity, I’ve also started to love wearing softer looks — whether it’s a pant suit, a dress or even a skirt. I think both style choices feel true to who I am as an artist and reflect my music. I am a little rough around the edges, but I am also a soft girly girly at heart.
HH: You’ve grown so much since your American Idol days—how has your sound and vision evolved since then?
Gabby Samone: I feel more confident in who I am as an artist and a person. I used to be afraid of what people would think about my music and who I was, and I would try to change to fit into certain spaces. But now, I am on a whole new wave. I don’t want to dim myself down anymore. I am learning how to embrace being the creative Gabby Samone, and also being Gabrielle Williams, because both of them are truly me.
HH: Can you share a sneak peek into your upcoming projects and what fans can expect next from you?
Gabby Samone: My fans can expect transparency about relationships, about real life, about finding love and more! I am excited to show people who I am.

Gabby Samone: I would say to be confident in who you are! Love yourself completely. Don’t be afraid of change, everybody changes! Everybody grows! Never stay stagnant. Be who you are!
